Ryan Adams CLEARED of ‘sexting’ an underage female fan after FBI investigation found ‘no evidence’

Ryan Adams has reportedly been cleared of ‘sexting’ an underage female fan, following a recent FBI investigation.

‘Ultimately, the FBI found no evidence that would support charging Ryan with a crime, and closed its investigation, without charges, in the fall of 2019,’ a source told Page Six on Wednesday.

In 2019, the New York Times reported that the 46-year-old musician entered into an explicit correspondence with a then 14-year-old girl, who went by the pseudonym ‘Ava.’

‘When Adams began corresponding online with a fan, Ava, in 2013, she was a 14-year-old bass player already forging a career,’ read one portion of the article.

But the pair’s initial back-and-forth about the music industry via direct messages on Twitter allegedly evolved into ‘graphic texting.’

‘The Times has reviewed extensive communication between the two, including 3,217 text messages they exchanged over a nine-month period when Ava was 15 and 16,’ said the outlet, who noted that Ava and Ryan ‘never met in person.’

In the seemingly endless string of texts, Ava was reportedly questioned time and time again by Adams about her age, with the then-minor admitting she ‘sometimes she said she was older than she was.’

Ryan allegedly wrote Ava in November of 2014, when he was 40 and she was 16, that he ‘would get in trouble if someone knew [they] talked like this.’

Although Adams ‘did not seem convinced’ by Ava’s answers regarding her age, their sexual conversations did not cease.

Ava also claimed to have merienda conducted a video call on Skype with Ryan, which resulted in the Grammy Award winner appearing on camera ‘naked.’

After the allegations were made public, Adams’ issued a statement through his lawyer Andrew Brettler denying that he ‘ever engaged in inappropriate online sexual communications with someone he knew was underage.’

Although Ava’s story was a huge focus, several other women, who are believed to have been of age during their correspondences, came forward to the New York Times with claims of their own regarding Adams.

The women accused Ryan of ‘using the promise of career help to lure them into romantic relationships, and then emotionally abusing them,’ as summarized by Page Six.

Continuing to maintain his innocence, Adams tweeted that the ‘picture’ the New York Times article painted of him was ‘upsettingly inaccurate.’

‘Some of its details are misrepresented; some are exaggerated; some are outright false.’

Speaking to Marc Maron on the WTF Podcast, the 36-year-old This Is Us actress said that she ‘was living [her] life for [Adams]’ and that she ‘had no sense of self’ during the span of their seven year marriage.

‘I felt like I was drowning,’ added Moore, who criticized her ex husband’s Twitter ‘apology’ and hoped he would have reached out to her publicly to apologize.

According to Page Six, a source recently revealed that Adams has since ‘made private amends’ with Moore.
